Summary

Motivation Hub Ltd is inviting applications for the Last Mile Graduate Trainee Program, aimed at fostering the next generation of solution providers, game changers, leaders, and innovators. This program offers recent graduates an opportunity to develop their skills and gain valuable industry experience in a highly competitive workplace and environment.

Program Overview

Imagine a world where every graduate steps into the professional realm with theoretical knowledge, practical skills, industry insights, market know-how, and a network of mentors and peers ready to support them. This is the vision of the Last Mile Graduate Trainee Program, a transformative initiative designed to bridge the gap between academic achievement and sustainable career success.
The Last Mile Graduate Trainee Program is not just a basic mentorship program; it is a journey that empowers fresh graduates to transition from the classroom to the boardroom seamlessly. Our program is meticulously crafted to address the unique challenges faced by today’s Generation Z graduates, providing them with the tools they need to excel in their chosen fields.
The transition from academic life to the professional world poses significant challenges for many graduates in Uganda. Despite academic qualifications, graduates face substantial barriers in securing meaningful employment due to a disconnect between theoretical knowledge and the practical skills required by employers. This issue has wide-reaching implications, affecting not only the graduates themselves but also parents, the community, employers, and the government.
Our Last Mile Graduate Trainee program is anchored around the five core pillars which are;

  • Job Readiness: Equipping graduates with essential skills and knowledge to enter the workforce confidently,
  • Job Experience: Providing hands-on, practical work experience through real-world projects,
  • Job Mastery: Fostering expertise and proficiency in specific job functions and roles,
  • Job Opportunity: Connecting trainees with potential employers and career opportunities,
  • Job Creation: Encouraging entrepreneurial skills and innovation to create new job opportunities.

Overall Responsibility

The Graduate Trainee will participate in a structured program to bridge the gap between academic achievement and career success, preparing them for a seamless transition into the professional world.

Key Tasks

  • Engage in comprehensive coaching and mentorship sessions.
  • Work on real business cases and projects to gain practical experience.
  • Collaborate with mentors and peers for professional development.
  • Participate in team-based tasks and company initiatives.
  • Develop skills in organizational culture transformation, change management, HR business solutions, and more.

Other Responsibilities

  • Contribute to various departments and initiatives as needed.
  • Attend workshops and mentorship sessions.
  • Support corporate event planning and management.
  • Develop mentorship and coaching curriculum
  • Conduct various research projects as needed
  • Create employee performance and productivity tools

Academic Qualifications

  • Finalists with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in any field (recent graduates within the last three years).
  • Strong academic record.

Experience

  • No prior work experience is required.
  • Excellent communication, cognitive, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team without supervision.
  • Ambitious, proactive, with a growth mindset, eager to learn, and possessing problem-solving skills.
